The square is the focal point of the Las Fallas festival, where daily Mascleta firecracker concerts take place at 2pm every day in March, attracting tens of thousands of spectators. The square also has several fountains and is the site of Valencia's principal flower market. A floral clock at the southern end of the square is a traditional Valencia landmark.
