The Museo Fallero is a museum dedicated to Las Fallas, Valencia's extraordinary festival in which giant satirical sculptures are built throughout the city and then burned on the night of 19 March. The museum's unique collection consists of the 'ninots indultados', the pardoned figures: every year, one figure from each Fallas sculpture is put to a public vote, and the winning figure is 'pardoned' from the flames and preserved in the museum. The collection now contains ninots dating from 1934 to the present, forming a remarkable visual history of Valencia's satirical art, political commentary, and craft traditions. The museum also houses documentation, photographs, and posters relating to the Fallas festival.
