Delete Your Data

Gingerguide does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying information. To use the app, your installation is signed in anonymously to Firebase, which creates a random identifier that is not linked to your identity. This page explains how to have the limited data associated with your installation deleted.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of the data associated with your app installation, email us using the address below with the subject line “Delete my data”:

Because the app has no login, please send your request from a device that has Gingerguide installed and, if you have a premium subscription or used a redemption code, include the approximate purchase date so we can locate the correct records.

On receiving a verified request, we delete the data we hold that is associated with your installation, including:

Some information cannot be tied back to you individually or must be kept for legal reasons, and therefore may be retained after deletion:

Timing

We action deletion requests within 30 days of verifying them. If we need more information to locate your records, we will reply to the email you contacted us from.

You can also stop all further data collection at any time by uninstalling the app from your device. If you only want to cancel a subscription, manage it under Settings on your device (App Store or Google Play) — this does not delete your data, so email us as above if deletion is what you need.
