Delete Your Data

Gingerguide does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying information. To use the app, your installation is signed in anonymously to Firebase, which creates a random identifier that is not linked to your identity. This page explains how to have the limited data associated with your installation deleted.
How to request deletion
To request deletion of the data associated with your app installation, email us using the address below with the subject line “Delete my data”:

What we delete
On receiving a verified request, we delete the data we hold that is associated with your installation, including:
- Your anonymous Firebase user record and any settings stored against it (for example, your selected language)
- Your subscription and entitlement records held in our database and, where applicable, the corresponding customer record held by our subscription provider, RevenueCat
- Any redemption-code record linked to your installation
- The association between your anonymous identifier and our analytics and crash-diagnostic data
What may be retained
Some information cannot be tied back to you individually or must be kept for legal reasons, and therefore may be retained after deletion:
- Aggregated and anonymized analytics. Usage and diagnostic data in Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics that has been aggregated or stripped of identifiers can no longer be linked to your device and is retained only in that anonymized form. Identifiable analytics data also expires automatically under the retention limits configured in those services.
- Purchase and transaction records. Records required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations are retained for the period required by law. Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never hold your payment card details. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also governed by Apple’s and Google’s own policies.
Timing
We action deletion requests within 30 days of verifying them. If we need more information to locate your records, we will reply to the email you contacted us from.
